Life becomes a Game


Game Mechanics are the ultimate hype right now in the Tech and Marketing World with companies such as Foursquare and SCVNGR leading the field and some even experimenting with turning school into a game.

But what really caught my attention is a recent partnership between Nokia and Burton Snowboards with the vision of turning real-world snowboarding into a videogame-like experience. Watch the video above to get an idea of the project.

Now imagine something like that coming to kiteboarding! Will such technology transform the format of competitions completely at some point in the future and make judges and tours obsolete? Imagine the economic opportunities of a kiteboarding brand acquiring exclusive rights to this technology or making the first move…
