Summer Hole

September 6th, 2009

silvester ruckdaeschel toesideThis summer has been very quiet around Malaga and Marbella in terms of wind, so we had no choice but to go to the cable. That thing has no obstacles and most people are on knee boards, so it’s nothing like OWC Orlando or similar parks, but still better than nothing. Good thing about not having obstacles is your forced to do aerials. Alvaro and I rode like 5 times this summer and coming from kiteboarding the progression is really fast, Alvaro is already going for Double Sbend to blinds and landed a Hasselhoff, I have it a bit more difficult being Regular so I’m going for Pete Roses and I landed a Regular footed Frontroll to Blind and Batwing to blind among other easier goofy stuff, like Blind Judges, Back2Blinds, etc.

Home-spot Video

A friend has created this little kite-video of our home spot. You wont find any hardcore riding in there, but it’s still fun to watch if you’re just into kiteboarding.

Riding again

August 3rd, 2009

L3Been off the water for 3 weeks do to a minor knee problem. Today was my first day out on a freestyle board again, pretty nice feeling, got tired of riding a surfboard in flat water, daaa…

Shooting and writing a small story about my home spot now, this year we really got some solid days and the crew is expanding exponentially, so it’s time to get the word out about our slick kite destination here + a cable, the cable has no obstacles though and is way to expensive  for my pocket:(

Seen some short edits of my upcoming stance feature and it’s looking tight, will keep you updated on that one.

Enjoy your summer,
Silvester
