PKRA Germany Single Eliminations

August 23rd, 2007

I arrived in St. Peter Ording on Friday and it wasn’t windy until Tuesday. Tuesday we had the skippers-metting at 8.30am , super early! First they did the trials which took less then 1 hour, then we started the Single Eliminations. The wind was light in the morning but increased throughout the day. I pumped up all my kites but chose my 8m Impact SL, cause thats what I’m most used to and cause it was gusty and windy. In the first heat I was against Rocky Chatwell from USA who’s currently under the Top12. He was on his 7 Fuel and throwing some big kiteloops, I did good stuff with some power and advanced. Then I went against Michael Schitzhofer from Austria and we both had a regular heat, he did more but according to the judges I had more power in my tricks so I advanced to the third round where Mr. 3x and soon 4x Worldchampion stopped my run.So I’m super satisfied with the result and I really hope to get some wind for the doubles!

Bad Karma

The Trip to Fuerte started with lost gear. Then it went on with Aaron in the first round of the Singles. Then, the next day, my harness, the only gear that arrived cause it was in my clothing bag was stolen. Today in the doubles I had to compete with the gear of others again. I did one trick, missed the next trick and the kite flew away. So I’m out, 17th in Fuerte…

9th PKRA Tarifa

July 7th, 2007

After a very bad start in the Single Elimination, today I finished 9th in the Double Eliminations. I was against Rui Meira in my second heat who really was the most difficult rider to go against in the second round so I went to the water with lots of concentration. The wind was super gusty and strong, but I managed to do lots of stuff including a well powered Pete Rose so I won. The next heat I had to go against Julian Hosp who was pretty lucky in the last competitions, so I took that one more relaxed and advanced to the next heat against Madison Van Heurck.
