A couple of days ago MJ from Liquid Force asked me to come to Orlando for the Surf Expo, a huge event where all the surf, wake and skate brands present their new stuff, so I took a train from Hamburg to Flensburg on Wednesday and then went to Copenhagen with MJ (on the way we had a flat tire in the middle of the night), where we slept one night and then went on to Orlando with a stop in New York.

The expo started today, it’s really big and there are lots of hot chicks running around and presenting the newest bikini designs, the Liquid Force booth has some huge ads with me on them, also I have some nice coverage in the new catalog and in the SBC and Kiteboarding.

Once we got bored at the expo, Troels and Mads from Denmark and I drove down to the cable park where I had my sickest slider session ever, the park is full with the best obstacles. As it was my first time hitting obstacles at the cable I started tranquilo, but the progression is really fast and soon I was able to land some big toeside 3′s of the kicker and hit the sliders in all kind of body postures and with passes. Next time I’m back home in Marbella I will have to convince the park owner there to build some obstacles…

The expo continues tomorrow and I will also try to get some pics from me at the cable done.

It was good kiting, the weather was warm, we got the sickest light ever, the sliders were small but legiiiit, the vibe was cool, the wind was terra consistent, we got thousands of shots that look as if they were taken on Hawaii and that are sick, the intros of each rider will make you laugh,I’m slowly getting addicted to Red Bull or caffeine, Red Bull Coke tastes like Calippo Cola, Cliff in Kampen is a no-go which doesn’t mean you can’t party in Sylt, Pile doesn’t sleep in summer, don’t play golf with Rick by night, Kim is going to make our sport popular in Canada and next time everything is gonna be bigger, the sliders, the location and hopefully the budget.

Shit, gotta add another sentence: The winner of the event will be elected by you guys, thats right, each rider is soon gonna have his video part on the web and you gonna decide who rocked and who flopped. Isn’t that legit?

Lately my travels go all wrong. I arrived at Malaga airport yesterday morning 11am, just 20 min. before my flight to Sylt was supposed to leave. Somehow they managed to get me into the plane by time. But after waiting for an hour in parking position, the pilot announced one of the brakes of the airplane was broken. After another 2 hours seated in this thing, they send us back to the airport where we had to wait another 5 hours with a lunch budget of 8 Euros. In the end of the day most passangers who were going just to Dusseldorf were sent to a hotel in Malaga, while I got to fly to Berlin, because there were no flights from Dusseldorf today. So I got a night in a hotel in Berlin and then made a small trip through the city center. Now Im back to the hotel and waiting for my flight to Sylt, hopefully this time things work out. Oh, and I almost forgot, they also lost all my luggage….
